The Southern NH Ukulele Group presents the annual SNHUGFEST at Henry Law Park in Dover NH. The big day is June 27, 2020 and the festivities begin at 11:00am in the park’s lower field (River Stage).

The day will open with the annual children’s performance. Your child can participate by joining the learn to play ukulele session for kids. More information on this part of the event will follow.

The day then leads in to performances by some of the areas best ukulele bands and individual performers. There will be representative from locations all around New England. Each performer will be presenting a “play along song” for audience participation, so bring your ukuleles and join the fun.

Also in the mix this year will be ukulele workshops. These were a big hit last year and should be again this year. You will learn some fun tricks and tips from some talented and seasoned players.

The SNHUG Dance Party (which was a big hit at the Ground Hog day Luau) will make an appearance so bring your dancing shoes and play and dance in the park with us. This is an ad hoc band made up from the players performing this day. They will be playing and singing some of your favorite dance and party tunes.

As always there will be raffles of some fantastic ukulele themed prizes, food trucks, crafts, and so much more!

In addition, this year’s SNHUGFEST will include an afterparty for anyone that wants to continue the party in to the evening. It will take place a few blocks up the street from the park at the Chameleon Club at Cara’s Irish Pub. This will be a time to mingle and participate in open mic.

This is a family friendly event with no admission fees. The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire will be having their Maker and Food Fest (admission required for this) on the same day in the upper field of the park. Come make it a fun for everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Both events (along with the excellent playground between the two events) will make from a day to remember.

Stay tuned as more information comes along…
